“The Great Hack” is a feature-length Netflix documentary film exploring how a data company named Cambridge Analytica came to symbolize the dark side of social media in the wake of the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Throughout 2017 and 2018, I followed and filmed David Carroll in his investigations into the workings of CA, from the very beginning to the very end of his lawsuit.
